ChocoScan is a privacy-first service. Your files are your files. All PDF processing happens in your browser—we cannot view, access, or store your documents.

1.1 Client-Side Processing

Unlike other PDF services, we don't upload your files to any server. Our tools run entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly, so your data never leaves your device.

2. What We Don't Collect

Due to our client-side architecture, we cannot collect:

• Your PDF files or document content
• Personal data within your documents
• Filenames or file metadata

3. What We May Collect

3.1 Account Information

If you register, we collect your email and encrypted password for authentication.

3.2 Usage Statistics

We track tool usage counts for subscription management. We do NOT collect file names, content, sizes, or document metadata.

3.3 Analytics

We may collect anonymized data to improve our service. We don't use tracking cookies for advertising.

4. Third-Party Libraries

We use trusted open-source libraries like PDF-lib.js and PDF.js, which operate under the same client-side principle.

5. Security

Your files never travel over the internet to our servers, protecting you from data breaches during transit or storage.

6. Children's Privacy

Our services are not for users under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
